Days of Awe for the World
A Journey of Teshuvah/Return, and Tikkun/Repair
The Days of Awe, from Rosh Hashanah through Yom Kippur, September 18 through September 29 this year, are perhaps the most sacred and important days of the Jewish liturgical year: a time for deep introspection, contemplation, and transformation around two themes teshuvah and tikkun: returning to our true nature as a manifesting of the Divine, and repairing the world with justice and compassion.
While the language, music, prayers and rituals of the Days of Awe for the World draw on Jewish tradition, their message and call are for everyone.
Days of Awe for the World is a unique multi-media, multi-day, interactive opportunity for people of all faiths and no faith to experience the power and beauty of this most sacred time of the year.

What You Can Expect
Days of Awe for the World blends pre-recorded meditations, a liturgical journal, and live Zoom gatherings to bring you the richness, beauty, emotion, and message of this most sacred time in the Jewish calendar.
The heart of Days of Awe for the World encounter are the pre-recorded meditations for Rosh Hashanah, September 18 and 19, and Yom Kippur September 27 and 28. Each recording contains both the evening and morning meditations for that day.
Each meditation consists of liturgical readings, prayers, cantonal chanting, and rituals drawn from traditional Jewish sources, along with thought provoking exercises that will serve as your guide on our journey of teshuvah/return and tikkun/repair.
The meditations can be experienced alone or with others, and at your leisure in a quiet, spiritual space, or on a walk in the serenity of nature.
On Rosh Hashanah afternoon, September 19 at 2:00PM CDT, and Yom Kippur afternoon, September 28 at 2:00PM, we will gather in community via Zoom for study and meaningful conversation. We will also meet via Zoom on September 23 at 2:00PM to share our thoughts on the Days of Awe for the World experience thus far.
Each morning between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur you will receive a pre-recorded meditation, with accompanying text, exploring one or more of the Thirteen Attributes of Godliness (Exodus 34:6-7) as part of our journey of teshuvah/return and tikkun/repair.
